POISON BAND

Poison is an American glam metal band that achieved success in the late 1980s and early 1990s. To date, the band has sold 14.5 million records in the United States alone. The band has also charted 10 singles to the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100, including six Top 10 singles and the Hot 100 number-one single, "Every Rose Has Its Thorn". After 25 years, the band is still recording music and performing. Poison was formed in 1983 under the name Paris, and consisted of lead vocalist Bret Michaels, guitarist Matt Smith, bassist Bobby Dall, and drummer Rikki Rockett. Moving to Los Angeles on March 6, 1984, they started playing big clubs and eventually changed the name of the band from Paris to Poison. During this period, Poison's manager negotiated a deal under which the West Hollywood club, The Troubador, would pay for shows. At this time, Smith left the band to return home to Pennsylvania, which led to an audition session that was won by C.C. DeVille. Michaels, Dall, Rockett and DeVille signed to independent label Enigma Records in 1986 (see 1986 in music) for approximately $30,000. Their debut album, Look What the Cat Dragged In, was released August 2, 1986. It originally included only one single, "Cry Tough"; however, Look What the Cat Dragged In became a surprise success and subsequently spawned three charting hits: "Talk Dirty to Me", "I Want Action", and "I Won't Forget You",^[4] the band then started touring with some of the biggest bands of that time. In 1987 the band also recorded a cover of the Kiss song "Rock and Roll All Nite" for the soundtrack to Less Than Zero.

Europe adalah grup musik hard rock terkenal asal Swedia yang meraih popularitas tinggi di era 1980an sampai dengan awal dekade 1990. Awalnya grup ini beraliran progressive metal. MOCCA BAND

Mocca is an Indonesian four-member band formed in 1997 in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. The band's musical style is inspired by the retro sounds of the 70s, with influences of swing, bossa nova, Swedish pop, and jazz. The core of the band is Arina Ephipania Simangunsong, Riko Prayitno, Achmad ("Toma") Pratama, and Indra Massad. When playing live, MOCCA is supported by six additional players on keyboards, guitar, percussion, trumpet, trombone, and sax. While in college, Arina and Riko decided to get together and form a band. For a year, they struggled with performing other people's music, finding themselves bored with the lack of innovation, at which point they decided to write their own songs. In 1997, they composed four songs that unfortunately were not well-received by the rest of the band. After much squabbling and conflict the band split up, leaving only Arina and Riko with their songs. In late 1999, they asked Indra and Toma to join and Mocca was born. They now had a group with the same vision and awareness of music. Their debut album My Diary contains 13 songs written from a girl's point of view and her diary entries. The lyrics are in English, and the music mixes waltz, bossa nova, 70s disco, and rock. In 2009, they produced a song for the soudntrack of the Korean film Bandhobi.
